To further expand our installed base across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, we are recruiting a Melbourne-based Sales Territory Manager with experience in selling analytical equipment. In this role, you will promote, sell and support the Elementar product range. You will act as a customer-facing sales partner, helping customers understand how Elementar instruments can support their laboratory applications. You will identify and visit new and existing customers, deliver product demonstrations, support customer training, attend trade shows and conferences, and promote Elementar Australia as a leading supplier of elemental analysers and related service support.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed revenue and margin targets with in the Victoria, South Australian and Tasmanian territories.
  • Manage the full sales process, including customer identification, needs analysis, quotation, order management and follow-up to support customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities via active prospecting, market analysis and emerging application trends.
  •  Analyse the CRM customer accounts in your designated territory and carry out the sales activities required to acquire new customers, including cold calling and other reasonable sales-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer interactions within our CRM system.
  • Visit new and existing customers to provide a clear overview of equipment features and functionality, including how the equipment can be applied to the customer’s specific samples.
  • Provide application support to customers pre- and post-sale, including troubleshooting, method adaptation and in-person small group user training
  • Create and deliver application and technical sales presentations, either on site, in person or via Microsoft Teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including sample preparation guidance, test reports, user guides and application notes, to support customers and the Service team with instrumentation needs.
  • Travel as required to deliver sales presentations, provide application support, present quotations and follow up on opportunities through to close.
  • Collaborating closely with service support team in Australia to ensure customer satisfaction with installed equipment to maintain satisfied customer relationships.
  • Additional periodic travel to the manufacturing facilities in Manchester, UK and Langenselbold, Germany for intensive training and certification program.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a similar scientific field is required.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation, preferably with Elemental Analysers.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with previous experience in a customer-facing sales role considered an advantage.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical documentation, quotations and product presentations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and independently solving technical problems in a lab setting.
  • Willingness to learn, with enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable shifting priorities.
  • Curious and improvement-oriented, always seeking better ways of working.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%, with a valid driver licence and passport.
  • Experience working with a CRM system, preferably SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.
